About
EXPERIENCE
Over the past 10 years, I have gained experience in a variety of settings, including residential group homes, school classrooms and counseling centers (preschool through college), Boys & Girls Clubs, non-profit agencies, and private practice.
My counseling experience has included adults, teens, and children from various racial/ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and a range of ages, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, family histories, diagnoses, presenting concerns, and degrees of functionality.
CREDENTIALS
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, (LMFT#83669) working in private practice.
I received my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco (USF) and completed over 3,000 hours of clinical counseling experience prior to licensure.
Currently, I am an active member on the Board for the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists (CAMFT), Central Coast Chapter. I am serving as the Pre-Licensed Therapist Mentor, helping to educate, support, and guide therapists on their journey toward licensure. If you are a pre-licensed therapist in SLO County, please feel free to reach out for more information.
I am also the Clinical Program Director at Cancer Support Community- CA Central Coast: www.cscslo.org.
We are a non-profit dedicated to the social and emotional needs of anyone impacted by cancer, regardless of age, stage, or diagnosis, and all at no cost.
PERSONAL
I was born and raised on the Central Coast and feel a deep appreciation and connection to the community. In my free time, I love being active outdoors with my family, friends, and black Lab, "Benny." Also high on my list, is getting in as many Crossfit workouts as I can!
